Stephen R. Cieslewicz - President

Prior to starting this firm with Robert Novembri in 1999, Mr. Cieslewicz was the System Utility Arborist at Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E) in California. In this capacity, and as part of a 20-year career at PG&E, Mr. Cieslewicz was responsible for research, best practices, benchmarking, regulatory and industry relations, and training for the largest vegetation management program in the United States.

Mr. Cieslewicz has presented at numerous national and international conferences on subjects ranging from “how trees cause power outages” to “customer service for the utility arborist”. He has also authored numerous articles and manuals on utility vegetation management for both the industry and internal use at PG&E. In 1998, Mr. Cieslewicz was chosen, as one of a handful of industry experts, to develop the Utility Specialist exam as part of the advanced certification program for the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Mr. Cieslewicz is a Past President of the Utility Arborist Association (UAA).
